Dream of You

Do you know, what I think of,
late at night, when the sky is dark,
and the stars are tiny diamonds
winking at the world below?

I dream of you.

I dream of your arms around me,
holding me close,
keeping me safe
from the monsters that
hide in the night.

I dream of your body,
so close to mine,
curling and twisting,
matching me press for press,
a shelter from the cold, cold wind.

I dream of your breath,
warm and sweet,
stirring against my neck and hair,
making it dance as you in and exhale,
each movement signifying life.

I dream of your hands,
entwined with mine,
occasionally brushing over the other,
resting together, always touching.

I dream of your legs,
sometimes curling around mine,
sometimes just resting near-by,
another touch...another caress.

I dream of your heart,
beating against my back,
each thump filling me with it's sound,
it's feel...each beat, beating for me.

I dream of your love, a blanket to cocoon us, to bind us together and keep us in a little bubble.

At night, when my bed is cold and barren, when I'm a tiny ball in a mass of white...

I dream of you.

And I'm not so cold anymore
